Strongest alliance: the alliance with the most combined power among the state's top 100 players. Top player: the highest individual power in the state. Based on the power lists of early October 2026.
Before it starts
The map turns into a prehistoric jungle. Zombies are gone and dinosaurs take their place. The core loop is the same as last season: hunt creatures, collect season resources, upgrade your virus resistance, hunt stronger creatures.
- Save your diamonds. Trade Hubs, the best shop of the season, only take diamonds. Anything you spend in the last weeks before the season is missing there.
- Pick your dinosaur. In Hatch of Legends you raise a T-Rex, Triceratops or Ankylosaurus. All three give the same bonus, so choose the one you like looking at for thirteen weeks.
- Leaders and R4s: agree now where your three Alliance Centers go. Every season building needs one, and good spots go fast on day one.
- Put a Sunday alarm in your phone for the Ancient Dino boss at 12:00 game time. It often dies within 5 to 15 minutes.
Times in this guide are game time, called Apocalypse Time. Check the clock in the game if you're not sure how it lines up with yours.
Week 1 plan
Your first week decides your last week. Everything in this season compounds, so a slow start stays slow. Tick things off as you go; your ticks are saved in this browser.
Your week
The season runs on a fixed weekly rhythm. Today is highlighted, based on your own clock.
- Alliance fights
- Bosses
- Shops
Mon
- Clash for Glory: pick a rival alliance
- Trade Hubs open for capture
Tue
- Glory War against the other states
Wed
- Trade Hubs
Thu
Fri
- Trade Hubs
Sat
- Bio Institute Shop opens
Sun
- Ancient Dino boss

- Bio Institute Shop, last day
Every day
- Collect your Glory Chest every 8 hours. That's three a day. Skipping one costs you a third of that day's badges.
- Do the five Hatch of Legends tasks. They refresh daily and don't carry over.
- Use your capped dinosaur rewards, Stegosaurus first (see below).
- Kill your Predator Squads: 2 a day from Monday to Saturday, 5 on Sunday.
Hunting dinosaurs
Dinosaurs carry a virus. Without enough virus resistance your troops lose a big chunk of attack power, so your Biotech Lab sets how high you can hunt.
Stegosaurus
Hunt these firstDrops Ancient Dino Eggs and Cretaceous Scales. Costs more fuel and often needs a rally, but it's the only map dinosaur that gives eggs.
Velociraptor
Use leftover fuel hereThe everyday target, like regular zombies before. Drops Cretaceous Scales and glory. Always hit the highest level you can beat.
Your rewards are capped per day, not your fuel. Raptors and stegos share one daily reward limit, so spending a reward on a raptor when you could have had a stego is a waste. You get 30 rewards a day early in the season. Later this drops to 15, with bigger rewards per kill.
Can't beat the high levels alone?
Join a stronger player's rally. You get the same glory as the rally leader, so there's no reason to let a reward go unused.
Predator Squads
Armed squads that transport dinosaurs, up to level 200 on the map. You can kill 2 a day for rewards from Monday to Saturday and 5 on Sunday. They drop season resources, Ancient Dino Eggs, blueprints, hero EXP and Pine Cones.
Reported drops per kill: the egg drop stays at 150 at every level, while Fern Leaves and Scales grow fast. Farming for eggs? The lowest level you can clear is enough. Farming for building materials? Go as high as you can.
| Level | Fern Leaves | Scales | Eggs | Suggested power |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 100 | 36,000 | 13,200 | 150 | 190M |
| 120 | 44,000 | 16,400 | 150 | 247M |
| 140 | 52,000 | 19,600 | 150 | 354M |
| 160 | 60,000 | 22,800 | 150 | 445M |
| 180 | 68,000 | 26,000 | 150 | 546M |
| 200 | 76,000 | 30,400 | 150 | 652M |
Glory and Glory Chests
Every kill gives Glory Points, more for higher levels. Every 8 hours you can open a Glory Chest with badges: up to about 148 per chest, or about double with the Season Journey pass. There's no prize for your spot on the glory leaderboard itself. What counts is earning badges early and adding to your alliance's season points.
Bones & Eggs Boom
Around the middle of the season a bonus switches on that lasts until the end. It doubles the Cretaceous Scales you get from raptors and stegos, which makes it the best moment to push your Biotech Lab. Guides disagree about eggs: some say they're doubled too, others say daily egg drops go down. Check your own drops in the first day.
Resources
Four season resources, each with a different job. They only exist during the season.
| Resource | Where it comes from | What it's for |
|---|---|---|
| Fern Leaves | Bio Greenhouses, on their own | The main currency for season buildings |
| Cretaceous Scales | Hunting raptors and stegos | The second building currency. The Biotech Lab eats lots of them |
| Ancient Dino Eggs | Stegos, Predator Squads, duplicate fossils | Currency for the Bio Institute Shop |
| Pine Cones | Predator Squads, daily tasks | Growing your Hatch of Legends dinosaur, 100 at a time |
Stuck on your Biotech Lab? It's almost always Scales you're short of. Fern Leaves come in by themselves; Scales only come from hunting, so look at your daily hunting first.
Watch the storage cap. Fern Leaves and Scales can't pile up forever. On a late-season account both stopped at 15 million, and anything above the cap is lost, so spend before you reach it.
Buildings
Season buildings are the ones every player places, like greenhouses and labs. They're upgraded with Fern Leaves and Cretaceous Scales and disappear when the season ends. This is the order most guides agree on.
| Order | Building | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Biotech Lab | Raises virus resistance, which caps the dinosaur level you can attack. Once you can beat level 60 dinosaurs comfortably, it stops being urgent. |
| 2 | Bio Greenhouse | Makes Fern Leaves. You get 4; a 5th comes with the Wartime Investment pack. |
| 3 | Alliance Centers I, II and III | Called alliance buildings in the game, and only the leader and R4s place them. Everyone's season buildings need them first. Each must stand on a different tile level. |
| 4 | Command Center | Season troop damage. Strong, but not urgent. |
| 5 | Armory (2) and Fortification (2) | Season troop attack and defence. Raise them together. A 3rd Armory unlocks in the Combat specialization. |
Alliance Center rules
- Only the alliance leader and R4s can place them.
- Garrison troops in a center to build it faster.
- If a center is recalled, its durability drops to zero and the resources have to be paid again.
- In Clash for Glory, losing Alliance Center I means your alliance loses the fight straight away. Guard it.
Hatch of Legends
Raise your own dinosaur for the whole season. It's one of the biggest power boosts you can get without spending, and it costs nothing but showing up every day.
- T-Rex
- Triceratops
- Ankylosaurus
- Choose one egg: T-Rex, Triceratops or Ankylosaurus. The bonus is the same for all three, and you're locked to your choice for the season.
- Each level adds exactly 1% troop attack, up to +30% at level 30. Levels 1–5 are the egg stage, from level 6 it hatches.
- At level 16 you unlock a vehicle skin of your species. It goes on all four of your troops, and only the species you hatched can be used.
- Dino Feed goes in through the Hatch button. You earn it from five daily tasks that don't carry over to the next day.
- Pine Cones also grow your dinosaur. They go in through the Alliance Points button, 100 at a time: 300 cones gave a level 22 Triceratops 300 growth points. Later levels are slow, though; level 22 needs 45,000 points to reach 23.
The bonus and the skin are taken away when the season ends. That's no reason to skip it: +30% attack for thirteen weeks of fighting is huge.
Ancient Dinos
Every Sunday at 12:00 a giant dinosaur appears and the whole state attacks it. There's no limit on attacks, and you're ranked on total damage. The boss changes every week in a fixed order.
- T-RexWeek 1
- TriceratopsWeek 2
- PterosaurWeek 3
- AnkylosaurusWeek 4
- DimetrodonWeek 5
After week 5 the rotation starts again from the T-Rex.
How to do the most damage
- No marching needed. Like Fury Lord, you attack it straight from wherever your base is, so all that matters is being online at 12:00.
- Use attack buffs right before it appears, not five minutes early.
- Attacks are unlimited, so keep attacking and healing until it's dead.
- Liliana is the burst hero built for short boss windows.
- Can't do much damage? Attack anyway. Everyone in the top 50 gets both of that week's fossils, and lower ranks still get rewards.
Titles
Each species has its own title. Only the top 3 damage dealers the first time that species is killed on your server get it. After that it's a farming week.
Fossil Album
Each boss drops its own fossils, and the album is bigger than it looks: it has 11 pages, and the first page alone holds 20 fossils. Every piece you collect adds points to a reward track with stops at 30, 50, 100, 180, 240 and 300 points; the 180 stop alone pays 5,000 Ancient Dino Eggs. Duplicates aren't wasted, they can be swapped in the album's Exchange. Missed a Sunday? Single fossil pieces also turn up in the Bio Institute Shop.
Other events
Trade Hubs · Mon, Wed, Fri at 11:00
Hubs on the map that alliances fight over, at levels 1 to 3. In week one only your own state competes; after that every state in the group does, and the hub shops are open to all four states.
- For the alliance that holds it: 20% better prices for all its members, owner-only items, and 10% tax on what everyone else spends there. One level 3 hub had collected 37,200 diamonds in tax.
- Cheap to fight over: at a hub, 10% of the troops you lose are badly wounded and none die.
- After a capture the hub is protected until the next hub day.
- What's in the shop, all for diamonds and in limited stock: Z-crates, Golden Wrenches, badges, EXP chests and speedups. For example 5 one-hour speedups for 500 diamonds.
How we play it
- Have troops in place before 11:00. Marching after the start means arriving at a fight.
- Fill reinforcements in turns so the hub is never empty for a moment.
- Let our own members shop first, then open the hub to everyone. Other players spending diamonds there pay tax to us.
Bio Institute Shop · Saturday and Sunday
The weekend shop, paid in Ancient Dino Eggs. Stock is random and some items come with big discounts. You get 14 refreshes per weekend and they cost eggs, so look at the whole board before you refresh.
Buy in this order: exclusive equipment fragments, then orange hero fragments, then badges (badges are easy to get elsewhere). Save eggs from Monday to Friday so you arrive with a stack.
To give you a feel for prices: a single fossil piece costs 4,000 eggs, or 2,400 when it's 40% off. 300 badges cost 1,800 eggs, but one board had them 80% off for 360. Discounts like that are worth grabbing.
Dino Rescue · Sunday
Predator Squads and Black Market Guardians attack headquarters directly, skipping HQ guards. Your Predator Squad limit goes up to 5 for the day. Beating squads can reveal a Black Market Guardian (up to level 350, rally only); killing it rescues an injured Spinosaurus that your alliance can nurse back for up to 10 gifts.
Don't hold back on the Guardian. State goals unlock rewards for every player in the state, including orange hero fragments, exclusive equipment fragments, recruit tickets and Dino Feed. Pushing the state total pays more than guarding a ranking spot.
Dino Egg Defense
This season's Zombie Siege. Waves of dinosaurs attack every member's headquarters. The leader and R4s each start it once, and each player can be breached twice. A breach steals 5% of your eggs (up to 1,000).
- Spend your eggs before it starts, so there's less to steal.
- Aim to finish all waves. Completion pays more than ranking, up to 14 Golden Wrenches.
- The higher reward brackets also depend on the alliance total, so help your neighbours.
Heroes
Three new season heroes arrive in the first six weeks, each with their own pass and signature weapon.
| Arrives | Hero | Faction | Weapon | Good for |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Weeks 1–2 | Licia | Blood Rose | Wyrm Wrath | All-rounder, the safe first pick |
| Weeks 3–4 | Liliana | Wings of Dawn | Firefall | Burst damage, best for the Sunday boss |
| Weeks 5–6 | Dodomeki | Guard of Order | One-Hit Kill | Long fights, scales with normal attacks |
At the same level their base stats are almost identical, so pick by role, or simply by which one you have the most fragments for.
Missed one? After the first six weeks the passes rotate into hero and weapon fragments, so you can still build them later. No need to panic-buy. Season recruit tickets come mainly from the Glory War and season rewards.
Hero Level Swap
All season long you can use a Level Swapper to swap levels between two heroes, so an old hero's levels move to a new one. Between heroes of the same quality the skill levels swap too, slot for slot. Between different qualities only the hero level swaps. Check star level and skill requirements first, and don't swap in the middle of a war.
It looks like Level Swap stays open after the season: on a server with 8 days of season left, its timer still showed 44 days.
Specialization
The cap goes from 50 to 70. Your skills up to 50 stay, and levels 51 to 70 bring new season skills. Below level 30 you're Support automatically; from 30 you choose.
Support: start here
- More resources from every kill
- Faster building, and time cut off all build queues
- More specialization EXP per kill
- Extra hospital space for you and an ally
- Faster gathering, and 5 extra points for other paths
Combat: switch later
- Free teleport to anywhere on the map (charges every 72 hours)
- Instant troop recall
- Rallies that leave without the wait, once a week
- A 3rd Armory and an extra defensive building
- More damage in field fights
A good moment to switch: when you beat level 60 dinosaurs comfortably and your greenhouses are in order, usually somewhere mid-season. If you mostly play for economy, staying Support all season is fine.
Alliance points and war
Our four states play this season together. Alliance season points decide the final rewards, and they come from three places.
- Personal glory of every member, from hunting and events.
- Cities. Holding a city earns points over time, and you keep those points even if you lose the city later. Cities come in five sizes: Small Town (level 1–2), Midsize City (3), Big Town (4), Big City (5) and Mega City (6). On day 1 only level 1 Small Towns can be captured, and every city starts out neutral this season.
- Clash for Glory. Winning takes 20% of the losing alliance's season points.
Clash for Glory
- On Monday an alliance picks a rival. The one who picks attacks; the one picked defends and can't refuse.
- There's a prep phase and a battle phase. You score by destroying the rival's Alliance Centers and season buildings.
- If your Alliance Center I falls, you lose on the spot.
- Pick rivals carefully. A beatable target is worth more than a proud one.
Final reward tiers
| Alliance rank | Tier |
|---|---|
| 1 | Supreme Legion |
| 2–3 | Dawn Army |
| 4–5 | Glorious Pioneer |
| 6–10 | Protection Oath |
| 11–20 | Expeditionary Alliance |
| 21–50 | Wasteland Legion |
| 51 and lower | Wasteland Guardian |
Alliance rewards are handed out by the alliance leader. Event and personal ranking rewards come by mail.
When the season ends
All season buildings and resource tiles are reset, city ownership is wiped, and the Hatch of Legends bonus and skin are removed.
If you spend
You don't need to spend to enjoy the season. Guides do agree this one is harder for free players than last season, mostly because Trade Hubs run on diamonds. If you do want to spend, these two come up again and again as the best value.
| Pack | Price | What you get |
|---|---|---|
| Wartime Investment | $9.99, up to 4× | Once all four are bought, for the rest of the season: +10% Fern Leaves, +100 virus resistance, a 5th Bio Greenhouse and +30% march speed towards raptors. Plus a week of daily supplies. |
| Season Journey | $24.99 | Doubles your Glory Chests, adds virus resistance and Fern Leaf output, plus prime rewards and 50% more Journey EXP. Buy early or the doubling has less time to add up. |
Prices are as reported by players and may differ per region. The free Season Journey track gives rewards to everyone; unclaimed rewards arrive by mail at the end.
Common mistakes
Do
- Virus resistance before combat buildings
- Stegosaurus first, raptors after
- Be online before 12:00 on Sunday
- Do the five Hatch tasks every day
- Bank diamonds for Trade Hubs
- Open our Trade Hub to the public after we've shopped
- Go all-out on the Black Market Guardian
- Arrive at the weekend shop with a stack of eggs
Avoid
- Rushing Armory and Fortification in week one
- Spending daily rewards on raptors while stegos are available
- Logging in at 12:05 on Sunday; the boss may be dead
- Spending diamonds before Trade Hubs open
- Keeping a captured Trade Hub locked all session
- Holding back on the Guardian to protect a ranking
- Refreshing the weekend shop in a panic
- Treating your glory rank as a goal

Still to confirm
This guide is pieced together from several fan guides. Where they disagree, we say so. If the game tells you something different, the game wins; please let Sota Ima (S672) know so we can fix it.
- Season number. This season used to be called Season 4 and has since been renumbered to Season 3. Older guides still say Season 4, but it's the same season with the same content.
- Bones & Eggs Boom: Scales are doubled for sure; reports on eggs go both ways.
- Daily dinosaur reward limit: it drops from 30 to 15 during the season, but it isn't known yet exactly when.
- Prices of packs can differ per region and currency.
Sources
Written in our own words from these community guides, which have much more detail if you want to dig deeper: LastZ.GG, Last Z Wiki, Last-Z.net and a Season 3 guide on note. Details on Hatch of Legends, the Fossil Album, the shops and Trade Hubs were checked against in-game screenshots from a player near the end of the season on an older server. The dinosaur drawings on this page are original and not taken from the game.
Updates
What changed in this guide, newest first.
Checked against in-game screenshots from a player near the end of the season on an older server.
Corrected
- Resources and Hatch of Legends: Pine Cones grow your dinosaur through the Alliance Points button, 100 at a time. They don't train a specialization.
- Fossil Album: the album has 11 pages, not 20 fossils in total. The first page alone holds 20.
Added
- Hatch of Legends: exactly +1% troop attack per level, egg stage at levels 1–5, the skin goes on all four troops and only for the species you hatched.
- Fossil Album: the points track (30, 50, 100, 180, 240, 300), with 5,000 Ancient Dino Eggs at 180.
- Ancient Dinos: everyone in the top 50 gets both of that week's fossils.
- Trade Hubs: 20% better prices for the holding alliance, 10% tax on everyone else, no troops die in hub fights, protection after a capture, and what the shop sells.
- Bio Institute Shop: real prices, including single fossil pieces for missed Sundays.
- Resources: Fern Leaves and Scales have a storage cap (15 million each on a late-season account).
- Level Swap: it seems to stay open after the season ends.
Confirmed
- The bonus and skin from Hatch of Legends are removed when the season ends.
- The Bio Institute Shop is closed on weekdays.
- The Ancient Dinos rewards per rank match what the guide already said.
